- E.W. Scripps ( NASDAQ: SSP ) has nominated two members of the Scripps family for election to the board of directors .
- The company has put up Raymundo Granado and Monica Holcomb - both great-great grandchildren of company founder E.W. Scripps - for seats.
- They would replace Anne La Dow and Michael Scagliotti, two other great-great grandchildren of the founder, who have informed the board they're stepping down when their terms expire in May. La Dow has served on the board since 2012, and Scagliotti is retiring after six years of service.
- The upshot is that the board is expected to remain at 11 members after the May 1 annual shareholder meeting.
