- Recent production is showing a marked decline possibly partly due to the pandemic impact though I would expect this to have a bigger effect in the coming years because of delays in exploration, FIDs and maintenance.
- Buzzard has been the largest producing UK field for this century, has exceeded expectations and continues to produce at the high end of recent estimates.
- Often the new resources will be inadequate to justify the operating and maintenance costs without some residual production from earlier developments.
