- Vista Gold is up more than 15% year-to-date, outperforming most other gold exploration and development companies.
- The company recently released an updated Feasibility Study for its Mt. Todd Project, with the study projecting average annual gold production of 395,000 ounces over a 16-year mine life.
- While upfront did increase, which is not surprising due to inflationary pressures, all-in sustaining costs remain well below the industry average, estimated at $928/oz.
- Having said all that, while it's certainly possible that Vista could be a takeover target or a major partner on the project, I think there are far more attractive bets elsewhere in the sector.
