- Weyerhaeuser ( NYSE: WY ) said Thursday it agreed to acquire ~60,700 acres of timberlands in North Carolina, South Carolina and Mississippi for $163M while also selling ~69,600 acres in South Carolina for $170M.
- The company said it is acquiring high-quality timberlands with attractive timber attributes, including mature, highly productive acreage that is well-integrated with existing Weyerhaeuser ( WY ) timberlands and mill operations.
- Following the deals, Weyerhaeuser ( WY ) said it will own or manage more than 870K acres of timberlands in North and South Carolina, and ~1.19M acres in Mississippi.
