Introduction

Adamas Trust ( ADAM ), formerly known as New York Mortgage Trust, is am mREIT, or a real estate investment trust that invests primarily in mortgages. Along with the common shares, the company offers four preferred shares and four baby bonds. While all these securities offer attractive yields, one preferred share ( ADAMM ) is floating above the others and currently offering a 10.8% dividend yield. I last wrote about the company and its baby bonds back in August . Today, I’m not the biggest fan of the preferred shares, but the 10.8% yield offers the best premium to income investors for the risks faced by the company...
