Don’t worry, this isn’t going to be another 2026 outlook.

As much as I care about 2026, I think we should mainly focus on the bigger picture instead of trying to figure out what 2026 will bring us. One reason is that most of us are bad at predicting 12-month performances anyway. That includes me and a whole range of people who make way more money than me. As we can see in the chart from 2024 below, analysts are basically always wrong when they publish their full-year S&P 500 targets....
