Bed Bath & Beyond ( BBBY ) reported another quarter of negative GAAP EPS, with its cash and equivalents positions falling by 22.5% sequentially to cap a series of acquisitions that have revived revenue growth but so far failed to deliver underlying earnings. BBBY reported cash and cash equivalents of $135.83 million as of the end of its just-reported fiscal 2026 first quarter, down sequentially from $175.30 million in the fourth quarter on the back of a net loss of $0.24 per share , or around $16.39 million. While bulls would be right to flag that this was a dramatic improvement from a loss of $0.74 per share in the year-ago comp, BBBY's cash burn from operating activities remains negative. This figure came in at $11.80 million during the first quarter, around 4.80% of total revenue of $248 million generated....
