Bassett Furniture Industries: An Upgrade Feels Comfortable Here

Lately, things have actually gone reasonably well for shareholders of Bassett Furniture Industries, Incorporated ( BSET ). The company has seen revenue growth and improvements on its bottom line. To be clear, there are still big challenges that it faces. But in the near term, it is benefiting from a recovery in the market and is likely to continue benefiting if home sales remain robust. I do believe that the economy is heading toward a recession. And because of that, I'm not ready to turn bullish on this name just yet. But I do think that upgrading it from the Sell I reaffirmed it at in July of this year to a Hold makes sense, especially in light of the strong balance sheet that the company has....
