C-COM Reports Second Quarter 2025 Results

MWN-AI** Summary

C-COM Satellite Systems Inc., a premier global provider of mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, reported its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2025. The company generated sales of $1.6 million, a decline of $1.0 million compared to the same period in 2024, largely due to ongoing challenges such as U.S. tariffs and competition from SpaceX's LEO satellite network. Although the gross margin improved to 55% from a low of 44% in the previous quarter, the overall revenue shortfall resulted in a net loss of $90,860.

Dr. Leslie Klein, President and CEO, expressed optimism regarding future sales as global investments in military capabilities are increasing, leading to a rise in inquiries from military customers. To leverage this opportunity, C-COM plans to showcase its rugged antenna systems at the MSPO trade show in Poland. This event is pivotal for military collaborations in Europe and will feature C-COM's Manpack series antennas along with its new Ka-Band 1K LEO ESA antenna suitable for drone guidance.

Additionally, Dr. Klein confirmed that the company is on track for testing and manufacturing its Ka-band ESA multi-orbit antennas by the end of Q4 2025. C-COM is also developing the Analog Beamforming Integrated Circuit (BFIC) designed to enhance antenna performance and affordability, which is currently in testing.

C-COM Satellite Systems, publicly traded on TSXV under the ticker CMI and OTCQB as CYSNF, has sold over 11,000 antenna systems globally, catering to various sectors like military communications, disaster management, and telemedicine through its distinguished iNetVu® brand. MWN-AI** Analysis

C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. (TSXV: CMI) reported its second-quarter results for fiscal 2025, revealing challenges that investors should consider carefully. With sales declining to $1.6 million, a $1 million drop compared to the same quarter last year, the company continues to navigate external pressures, particularly the impact of U.S. tariffs and competition from SpaceX’s LEO satellite network, which has begun to shape the market landscape.

Despite a recovery in gross margins to 55%, after an unusually low 44% in Q1, the net loss of $90,860 raises red flags. While management has reduced total expenses by $0.3 million year-over-year, the combination of falling revenues and persistent losses signals that C-COM must innovate and adapt to regain market traction.

The CEO, Dr. Leslie Klein, highlights increased inquiries from military sectors as a beacon of hope. C-COM's participation at the MSPO trade show in Poland, where they will showcase their Manpack series antennas and new Ka-Band systems, presents a strategic opportunity to diversify their customer base and capitalize on increased military spending.

Investors should focus on the company's forthcoming product developments, particularly the Ka-band ESA multi-orbit antennas expected to complete testing by the fourth quarter, as these innovations could significantly enhance their market offerings. However, noted risks include potential delays and market acceptance challenges that could detract from C-COM’s growth narrative.

Given current trends, this stock may appeal to value investors who believe in the long-term potential of satellite communications, especially in defense sectors. However, caution is advised; incremental improvements are needed before taking a more bullish stance. Monitoring the results from the upcoming trade show will be critical in assessing the company’s turnaround potential.

Ottawa, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - July 16, 2025) - C-COM Satellite Systems Inc., (TSXV: CMI) (OTCQB: CYSNF) a leading global provider of commercial grade mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, announced today its financial results for its second quarter of its 2025 fiscal year.

The Company's Q2 2025 sales of $1.6 million came in at $1.0 million below revenues generated during Q2 of last year. The Company continues to face headwinds caused by the United States initiative to tariff many countries around the world. The competition from SpaceX's LEO satellite network and proprietary antenna systems is also a factor.

Q2 2025's gross margin of 55% was back in the normal range after Q1's unusually low gross margin of 44%.

Total expenses for Q2 2025 were reduced by $0.3 million year over year. However, the lower-than-normal revenue performance generated a net loss of $90,860.

"Increased global investment in military capabilities bodes well for our sales prospects. We are starting to see increased inquiries and orders from military customers around the world," said Dr. Leslie Klein, President and CEO of C-COM Satellite Systems Inc.

Klein added, "In order to take advantage of this opportunity, C-COM's rugged antenna systems will be exhibited at the MSPO trade show this fall in Poland. The MSPO International Defense Industry Exhibition is one of Europe's key platforms for global military collaboration. This gathering will be an ideal place to show our Manpack series antennas as well as our new Ka-Band 1K LEO ESA antenna that is suitable for drone guidance and related mobile communications."

"We are on track to have our testing and manufacturing of our Ka-band ESA multi-orbit antennas completed by the end of our fourth quarter as well as have the first batch of the 8-Chanel Analog Beamformer Integrated Circuits tested and ready for commercialization", concluded Dr. Klein.
