Cryptoprowl.com / Canadian cryptocurrency miner Digi Power X (NASDAQ: ) has brought its first artificial intelligence (A.I.) data centre online.

The company says that its first commercial A.I. data centre is now operational at its ARMS 200 data centre campus in Alabama.

Digi Power X says the new A.I. data centre will help it to generate GPU-as-a-Service rental income and boost its annual revenues.

Management has said that they plan to deploy 10 megawatts of A.I. data center capacity in Alabama by the third quarter of 2026.

The company also plans to commission five additional ARMS 200 data centres at its campus outside of Buffalo, New York by the end of this year's second quarter.

Estimates are that the A.I. data centres will provide Digi Power X with annualized revenue of $15 million U.S. per megawatt.

Digi Power X has said that it is well-positioned to self-fund it's A.I. infrastructure buildout and achieve a new, scalable revenue source.

The new data centre is part of Digi Power X's plans to transition from Bitcoin (CRYPTO: ) mining to become an A.I. infrastructure provider.

DGX stock has risen 108% over the last 12 months to trade at $3.79 per share in Toronto.
