Investment Thesis
The SPDR® S&P Emerging Markets Dividend ETF ( EDIV ) aims to provide exposure to high-yielding emerging market stocks. Historically, this is a strategy which has offered relatively poor long-term results. Going forward, given that the fund's yield-weighted approach tends to select stocks in low growth, mature sectors like financials and telecommunications (in many cases with significant state ownership), my future total return expectations for the fund are low....
