I consider the utility business Enel (ENLAY)(ESOCF) to be one of my best utility investments made in many years. Enel was a high-conviction investment that I bought when the company was at a considerably cheap share price. My initial position was bought at a share price of €4.3/share, which means that on the basis of the current share price above €9/share, I have made a 100% RoR on a utility investment. These investments are more typically reserved for yield and stability, not capital appreciation - but it showcases what can happen if you're cognizant of valuation, and you act on it....
