Consumer sentiment rose for a third straight month in January, reaching its highest level since August. The Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index inched up 0.9 points (1.6%) to 57.3 this month, performing slightly better than the forecasted 55.0. However, this six-month peak offers little relief as sentiment remains historically low, currently sitting in the 3rd percentile of the series' history....
