The S&P 500 ( IVV ) ( SPY ) rewarded investors with gains in 2025. All 11 of the Select Sector SPDR ETFs provided positive returns as well, as of Friday, December 19, 2025. Still, the red-hot technology sector gained nearly 25%, followed by the communications and industrial sectors. REITs had a positive year but trailed in performance.
