One of my favorite financial institutions over the last couple of years now has been Preferred Bank ( PFBC ). Back in October 2025, I decided to reaffirm the company as a "Buy" candidate. Before that point, the stock had been underperforming the market. But I viewed that as transitory. Even though shares might not have been the cheapest relative to book value and tangible book value, they were very cheap relative to earnings. Asset quality was high as well, and we continued to see some attractive growth when it came to the balance sheet....
