Planet Labs: A Multi-Year Growth Opportunity

Planet Labs PBC ( PL ) has just presented at the Global Industrial Tech/Mobility Conference . On the call, we essentially got the same insights we would come to the earnings call, but rather this was heavily focused on their tech. And I have to say it was very impressive. I've been bullish on Planet for quite some time now, and not simply because of the tailwinds in the surveillance industry. Rather, I'm bullish on any company that can innovate within its own technological space and offer a differentiated service compared to the competition. That's exactly what we're seeing Planet do. They have the infrastructure in place, we know how impressive their constellation lineup is and how they lead in terms of image resolution and revisit rate. However, what we're seeing the company push towards here is a complete analytical package for their customers, in that they can deliver the complete pathway from imager to insight to action and do it faster than their competition. This is why I'm bullish; it is the complete imagery package they can now offer to clients, as I'll explain....
