September 19th was a painful day for shareholders of Scholastic Corporation ( SCHL ). Shares of the company, which plays in the publishing space, dropped over 12% at one point after management announced financial results for the first quarter of the company's 2026 fiscal year. In addition to financial performance worsening on a year-over-year basis, the results reported by management came in lower than what analysts were anticipating. Even though the quarter was very painful, led by significant weakness in its Education Solutions and Entertainment segments, management believes that this year will be positive on the whole....
