As I discussed in ( Ready Capital: Beware of Block 216, 55 E Jackson and Loan Modifications ), on Ready Capital’s ( RC ) 4th-quarter call, its management team outlined a plan to cover its 2026 debt maturities. As the first-quarter call made clear, in my view, the plan is already shifting. To me, it appears that RC has been forced to react to actual market conditions rather than the optimistic assumptions in their original plan. On the 4 ^th quarter call, management said they would focus on selling the Non-Performing Loans ((NPL)) and sub-yielding assets....
