Riot Platforms: A Hold At Best

Introduction

My previous coverage of Riot Platforms Inc. ( RIOT ) stock spans two articles, one in May, 2025 just briefly after the reciprocal tariff crash, where a lot of uncertainty remained whether we will see economic harm from the latter, causing me to warrant a more risk-averse stance on high beta names such as RIOT. In July, however, when the situation was much more clear, the economy continued to perform well, and publicly traded stocks continued to report strong earnings, it was clear that betting on Riot seems more appropriate.
