One company that, I think, is fascinating, but just not attractive enough to invest in, is Smith-Midland Corporation ( SMID ). In case you aren't familiar with the business, it produces and sells precast concrete products and systems that are used in the construction industry, as well as in the development of highways, utilities, in the farming sector, and more. This is precisely the kind of business that I gravitate toward. Traditionally "boring " companies, especially ones that are small, are fascinating to me. Some of my best calls have come from businesses like this. Having said that, I have been neutral on this particular play....
