Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to buy Blackstone Strategic Credit 2027 Term Fund ( BGB ) due to a widening discount. However, we then didn't have to wait too long before selling out of the position as the fund's discount narrowed, with its share price going to almost parity with its net asset value per share. Trades don't always work out so nicely in such a short period of time, but with BGB's anticipated liquidation date coming up in September 2027, this is a name worth keeping a closer eye on....
