President Donald Trump is heading to Alaska, meeting with his Russian counterpart, President Vladimir Putin, and the fate of Ukraine and the prospect of peace in Europe may be on the line. Given that President Trump has stated that he won’t directly negotiate land transfers between Ukraine and Russia, acknowledging that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine needs to make such determinations, it’s unlikely we’ll get a final answer to the Ukraine conflict on Friday. However, pathways to peace may open up, or conversely, they could be drawn shut. If negotiations should turn sour, there’s a risk of the situation in Ukraine deteriorating....
