GOOGL - Alphabet's Google Investing in and Teaming With ADT
The young and tech-forward is meeting the traditional and established in the home security industry. On Monday, ADT (NYSE: ADT) announced that it and Alphabet's (NASDAQ: GOOG)(NASDAQ: GOOGL) Google have formed a long-term partnership to be called ADT + Google, buttressed by an investment Google is making in the sector.
Under the terms of the arrangement, the two companies will, in ADT's words, "integrate Google's hardware and services and ADT's DIY and professionally installed smart home security solutions to innovate the residential and small business security industry."
