AAPL - Apple AirPods Pro face competition from newer earbuds from Bose and Sennheiser in runup to the holidays
Apple's (AAPL) AirPods Pro earbuds are facing competition from newer products from competitors in the runup to the holidays. The Airpods Pro were released in October 2019, but Bose and Sennheiser released newer products in the second half of 2020. The most recent is the Bose new QuietComfort Earbuds (pictured below), which are getting excellent reviews.When they were released in October 2019, What HiFi said Apple's AirPods Pro were "exceptionally comfortable, have strong noise-cancelling, and a balanced, easy-going sound". However, it said that Apple's noise-cancelling was imperfect, and that Sony's (SNE) WF-1000XM3 earbuds sound "more engaging". "The noise-cancelling new AirPods Pro can be beaten for sound, but they are a joy to live with and use all day, every day."In August 2020, Sennheiser announced its Momentum True Wireless 2 earbuds. WhatHiFi subsequently declared that their sound "beat the Apple AirPods Pros hands down". It gave them a higher rating than the AirPods Pro, and crowned them
