ASTI - Ascent Solar lifts Warley to CEO role after terminating Max

Ascent Solar Technologies ( NASDAQ: ASTI ) said Tuesday it terminated President and CEO Jeffrey Max effective April 26, to be replaced by current CFO Paul Warley effective immediately.

The company did not provide a reason for Max's dismissal.

Warley will remain in his current role as CFO on an interim basis until his replacement is appointed.

Prior to joining Ascent Solar ( ASTI ) as its CFO last December, Warley spent nearly 40 years specializing in corporate turnarounds, restructurings and capital advisory mandates at Bank of America, Bankers Trust, GE Capital, Deloitte Corporate Finance, and his own consulting firm.

Ascent Solar ( ASTI ) closed Tuesday's trading at $0.21, near an all-time low .
