AON - Australia's antitrust regulator has concerns with Aon's Willis Towers deal
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said it has preliminary competition concerns with Aon plc’s (AON) proposed acquisition of Willis Towers Watson (WLTW).The ACCC is concerned that the proposed merger will "significantly lessen competition" in the supply of these services (commercial risk, reinsurance and employee benefits broking) in Australia.The ACCC published a statement of issues and is seeking further information with feedback on the statement of issues due by March 12.Recall Feb. 11, Willis Towers Watson upgraded on improving outlook, deal or no deal: RayJay.Recall Feb. 9, European Commission stops clock in review of Aon's purchase of Willis Towers.
