Amr, the chip unit being sold to Nvidia ([[NVDA]] +1.0%) by SoftBank ([[SFTBF]],[[SFTBY]]), announces new computing solutions "to accelerate autonomous decision-making with safety capability across automotive and industrial applications."The solutions include the Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, Arm Mali-G78AE GPU, and Arm Mali-C71AE image signal processor.The Cortex-A78AE includes the company's new hybrid mode which allows the cores to run independently in split mode (meets low safety requirements) or in lock mode, which carries higher security but slows down performance.
