UAL - Citi's quant team screens for top stocks for alpha in 2022: At the Open
Citi runs four "quantamental" screens for value, growth, quality and dividend for next year. "The combination of a fundamental factor approach, with related factor scoring, and combined with our proprietary quant crowding data, provides a unique approach to stock selection," Hong Li, head of quantitative trading strategy, and team write in a note. "For each screen, included are stocks with high rankings for each factor, Buy rated by Citi Research, and with at least +10% expected return to target," Li says. "In addition, we overlay our quant crowding scores to emphasize less crowded stocks which may provide more stock picking alpha." Value - Likely to lead the market with the 10-year yield (NYSEARCA:TBT) (NASDAQ:TLT) grinding higher and if Omicron is "milder than feared."
