JEF - Citigroup says New York City area staff can work from home - Bloomberg
With COVID-19 cases once again on the rise in the New York area, Citigroup (C +1.3%) told its employees in the New York City metropolitan area they can work form home through the holidays if they're able to, Bloomberg reports, citing a company memo. The move applies to offices in New York City and Jersey City, New Jersey, and is meant to protect employees' holiday plans and to reduce the number of employees coming into those sites, a spokesperson told Bloomberg. The company already requires those coming into those offices to be vaccinated. Certain staffers, though, will be asked to continue to work on site "to ensure critical business operations," the memo said. The bank started in the summer to invite more workers back to the office.
