NobleCon18. Comtech Telecommunications VP of Investor Relations Robert Samuel and CFO Michael Bondi presented at NobleCon18. The company's management highlighted two of its growing markets, the next generation 911 solutions and its satellite ground station equipment. In the presentation, the Company showed an emphasis in the growth of its next-gen 911 business, highlighting that it is only one of two companies in the United States that has a 911 routing service. The acquisition pipeline in this segment remains robust according to management, and we would not count out additional acquisitions in the 911 business.Satellites, Satellites, and more Satellites. The presentation also pointed out the growth of Comtech's satellite segment. With the acquisition of UHP in early 2021, the Company believes that they offer a unique blend of TDMA (multi-channel) and SCPC (single-channel) satellites. Also highlighted was the recently launched Comtech Elevate offering, an software SATCOM solution, which integrates multi-provider and multi-layered bandwidth resources, while also scaling smaller networks.The Invasion Persists. Management had no update in regards to the awards of its COMET troposcatter system, as the invasion of Ukraine has forced its awards to shift towards the second half of 2022, while also slowing orders. Comtech did donate COMET troposcatter systems at the request of the Ukrainian government. Comtech does continue to receive awards in other areas, such as the recently received $125 million five-year single award contract from the Federal Government for the Joint Cyber Analysis Course Training Solutions.Maintaining Market Perform. We are maintaining our Market Perform rating given the challenging operating conditions. While we continue to believe in the long-term prospects of the company, based on our operating expectations, we think the shares will remain in a narrow range until positive operating momentum materializes.
