GS - Deutsche Bank takes steps to move Russian IT workers to Germany - Bloomberg
Deutsche Bank (NYSE:DB) is relocating hundreds of IT employees in Russia to Berlin, Germany, as the lender prepares to close its technology hub in the country, people with knowledge on the matter told Bloomberg on Tuesday. Some 1,500 staff at the Russian IT center in Moscow and St. Petersburg have received offers by the bank to relocate. A few hundred have accepted the offer and several hundred more showed interest, the people said, as reported by Bloomberg. The move comes after Deutsche Bank (DB) said in March that it's "winding down" business in Russia amid the country's war in Ukraine. Its U.S. rival Goldman Sachs (GS) had recently moved some of its staff in Moscow to Dubai after requests were made to work from a different location, Bloomberg noted. At the beginning of June, Deutsche Bank's DWS CEO left after greenwash raid.
