AON - DOJ is said to demand U.S. and Bermudian disposals to approve Aon's Willis Towers deal
The U.S. Department of Justice is demanding U.S. and Bermudian Willis disposals in order to approval Aon's (AON) planned purchase of Willis Towers (WLTW), Insurance Insider reported yesterday.Divestitures that are expected to be needed include WTW Corporate Risk & Broking units in San Francisco, Houston and Miami, as well as the WTW broking business in Bermuda, according to a report from Artemis, which cited unidentified investment banking soruces.Last week, the European Commission extended the deadline for review of Aon's planned Willis Towers deal.The U.S. antitrust speculation come after a report last week that AON's concessions may not be enough for EU approval for Willis Towers deal.
