UUUU - Energy Fuels launches commercial shipments of rare earth product to Europe
RHJ/iStock via Getty Images Energy Fuels (UUUU) +2.3% pre-market after announcing the physical shipment of commercial quantities of rare earths from its White Mesa Mill in Utah to Neo Performance Materials' plant in Estonia. Energy Fuels says the first container - with ~20 tons of product - of an expected 15 containers of mixed rare earth carbonate was produced at White Mesa and is on the way to Neo's rare earth separation facility in Estonia creating a new U.S.-to-Europe rare earth supply chain. Energy Fuels expects further shipments of RE carbonate as it continues to process natural monazite sand ore mined in Georgia by Chemours (CC) for both the rare earth elements and naturally occurring uranium that it contains. The companies also say they signed a definitive supply agreement in which Energy Fuels will ship all or part of its REcarbonate to Neo's Silmet rare earth separations facility.
