ETR - Entergy seeks OK to build Texas plant fueled by natural gas hydrogen
Entergy (NYSE:ETR) says it has started the process to seek approval to build the Orange County Advanced Power Station, a 1,215 MW dual fuel combined cycle power facility near Bridge City, Texas. If approved by the Texas Public Utility Commission, the plant would be capable of powering home than 230K homes using a combination of natural gas and hydrogen. Entergy expects to begin construction in Q2 2023 and begin service by summer 2026. Entergy is "one of the most aggressive developers of renewable energy" and likely will increase its dividend as the growth story plays out, Power Hedge writes in an analysis published recently on Seeking Alpha.
