MSFT - Fount Investments launches ETFs covering the metaverse and subscription economies
Fount Investments on Thursday launched two new exchange traded funds, the Fount Metaverse ETF (MTVR) and the Fount Subscription Economy ETF (SUBS). “We believe that new technologies are creating seismic changes in the ways that individuals interact with the world around them, melding the digital and real world, and changing the way that products and services are consumed,” Fount Chairman Young-Been Kim said in unveiling the new funds. MTVR offers investors a way to gain exposure to companies that develop, manufacture, distribute or sell products or technology related to the so-called "metaverse," which generally refers to a shared virtual world environment via the internet. MTVR comes with 49 holdings, including a top holding of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) at 11.59%. Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) which is MTVRs second largest holding at 5.59%, recently announced to hire 10,000 people across the EU to build upon a digital metaverse world.
