MSFT - HP Enterprise unveils new service for AI systems amid several cloud announcements

Amid several cloud computing related announcements, HP Enterprise ( NYSE: HPE ) said on Tuesday it was unveiling a new cloud service to power artificial intelligence systems.
The announcement, made by the Antonio Neri-led company at its HPE Discover conference, places it further in competition with other cloud computing companies, including Amazon ( AMZN ), Google ( GOOG ) ( GOOGL ) and Microsoft ( MSFT ).
HP Enterprise ( HPE ) made several other updates and offerings to its HPE Greenlake cloud platform, including the closing of the OpsRamp acquisition and adding software-as-a-service offerings for backup and machine learning.
The company also said it was expanding its Greenlake private cloud portfolio and providing further enhancements for private cloud enterprise.
Separately on Tuesday, HP Enterprise ( HPE ) announced that it had expanded its relationship with Amazon's ( AMZN ) AWS cloud service to make it easier for customers to develop and manage applications and across HPE Greenlake and AWS.
HP Enterprise ( HPE ) also said it had expanded its partnership with Equinix ( EQIX ) to extend the HPE GreenLake private cloud portfolio at Equinix's data centers.
HP Enterprise ( HPE ) shares fell more than 3% in late-day trading on Tuesday.
