Murphy, PhD, a pioneer in the field of machine learning and analytics for biological data, will be joining the board and working with other experts in a variety of fields to guide the POAI’s scientific initiatives and growth strategy. An expert in developing algorithms and models designed to understand biological systems and relationships, Murphy currently serves as head of the computational biology department at Carnegie Mellon University (“CMU”). He has also served a professor of biological sciences, biomedical engineering and machine learning, all at CMU.
