WW - Longtime stakeholder Artal exits WeightWatchers; shares fall

WW International ( NASDAQ: WW ) said Thursday its longtime shareholder Artal Group S.A. has sold its remaining minority stake in the company.
Artal sold off the remaining stake through a block trade, the company said.
Shares -12.7% at $7.25 premarket.
Artal had purchased WeightWatchers in 1999 from Heinz and maintained a controlling interest from its initial public offering in 2001 through 2018, the company said in a statement.
