Getting to grips with the world’s most powerful drug cartels terrorizing Mexico, the country is all set to legalize one of their products - marijuana.Driving the legalizing is the fact that New Mexico's medical marijuana sales have nearly doubled in the past two years despite strict plant-count limits.To become the world's largest legal cannabis market the country's Congress wraps up legislation in the coming weeks to legalize pot throughout the supply chain, from farming to distribution and consumption, The Wall Street Journal reported.In November, Mexico’s Senate passed a bill for the same and lawmakers in the lower house expect a February approval; however, they hope to raise the amount of pot consumers may possess in public beyond the Senate bill’s limit of 28 grams, or about an ounce.The use of marijuana for medicinal purposes has been legal since 2017; it will be the third country after Uruguay and Canada to legalize cannabis nationally
