SGH - Micron AMD among Rosenblatt's top semiconductor picks for 2022

The outlook for semiconductor companies was in the spotlight at Rosenblatt Securities as its analysts named the likes of Micron Technology and Advanced Micro Devices among their top picks for 2022. Rosenblatt's Hans Mosesmann, Kevin Cassidy and Kevin Garrigan took a look at the chip sector as part of continuation of their "Mother-of-All-Cycles" assessment of what they call "the biggest semiconductor cycle of all time" based on factors such as the growth of artificial intelligence. "AI fundamentally changing how companies and customers deal with new accelerated design cycles," and other aspects of the chip sector, wrote the Rosenblatt analysts. "We believe a structural shift and doubling in semiconductor growth going forward has important implications for investors." When it coms to semiconductor stocks in 2022, Mosesmann's top picks are Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU), AMD (NASDAQ:AMD) and Marvell (NASDAQ:MRVL). Mosesman said Marvell (MRVL) is benefiting from "increased customization use in all major markets
