MS - Morgan Stanley set to close Eaton Vance deal on March 1

Morgan Stanley (MS) expects to complete its acquisition of Eaton Vance (EV) on March 1, 2021, marking its second big acquisition within four months.The Wall Street firm agreed in October, just two days after closing on its E*Trade purchase, to buy Eaton Vance in a cash and stock deal with an equity value of ~$7B at the time.Eaton Vane shareholders have until 5:00 PM ET on Feb. 24 to choose whether they want to receive their merger consideration in cash, stock, or a combination.
