NKLA - Nikola extends rally after first EV truck delivery
Nikola (NKLA +0.7%) shares continue to rally after the company's nearly 18% gain on Dec. 23. The electric truck maker delivered its first Tre zero-emission truck to a customer. The delivery comes as part of an announced order by privately-held Heniff Transportation Systems for 10 battery-electric Tre semis with the option to acquire 90 more after a test period. Nikola expects to complete the initial order in the first half of 2022. The stock is seeing high interest from retail investors, reaching the second place spot in Stocktwits and moving up the list on Reddit.com's WallStreetBets forum. The positive news came a few days after Nikola reached a $125M settlement with the SEC for actions taken during Trevor Milton's control of the company.
