PIPR - Piper Sandler to acquire tech-focused investment banker DBO Partners
- Piper Sandler ( NYSE: PIPR ) agreed Wednesday to acquire DBO Partners, an independent technology investment banking frim in the San Francisco Bay area.
- DBO Partners has represented clients in AMD's $35B acquisition of Xilinx, Dell Technologies $4B sale of Boomi, and Thoma Bravo's sale of a majority stake in Centrify.
- The DBO team, including its three co-founders who had, will be integrated into the Piper Sandler ( PIPR ) technology investment banking group. Gordon Dean will become vice chairman, investment banking. Mark Bradley will be chairman of financial sponsor coverage, and Nick Osborne will be co-head of technology investment banking.
- Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2022.
- Last month, Piper Sandler ( PIPR ) acquired Stamford Partners LLP, an M&A advisory services company.
