SLM - Sallie Mae to Award $25000 College Scholarship to High School Junior or Senior From Massachusetts

High School Counselors and Community Leaders Nominate Deserving Students for Sallie Mae’s Bridging the Dream Scholarship Now Through Sept. 26 at SallieMae.com/BridgingTheDream

Sallie Mae® will again award college scholarships to high school juniors and seniors through its annual Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program. This year, the company will award a $25,000 scholarship to a student from Massachusetts. High school counselors and community leaders can nominate students now through Sept. 26.

Sallie Mae’s Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program recognizes students who have excelled both inside and outside of the classroom, but whose financial circumstances or other obstacles in life may not allow them to pursue a college education. Since 2016, Sallie Mae has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students through the Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program.

“Our mission is to equip aspiring minds to create the lives they imagine, and helping the next generation of leaders fulfill their dream of a higher education is one of the many ways that we achieve that mission,” said Martha Holler, senior vice president, Sallie Mae. “For a deserving student in Massachusetts, the Bridging the Dream Scholarship will help bring that dream closer to reality.”

Last year’s Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program recipients, nominated by school counselors or leaders of their local community were: Joe Bell of Gladstone, Missouri; Simone Dobosh of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania; Essence Duplechain of Houston, Texas; Jenna Frezza of Hammond, Indiana; Thanh Le of West Valley City, Utah; Ardavia Lee of New Castle, Delaware; and Doug Sullivan of Saraland, Alabama. Learn more about each of the recipients atSallieMae.com/BridgingTheDream.
