LMT - U.S. agrees to possible $1.8B sale of F/A-18 support for Kuwait

The U.S. State Department on Monday approved a possible sale totaling $1.8 billion to Kuwait of ongoing engineering and maintenance services for aircraft including the F/A-18 Hornet, according to the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
The federal agency on Monday delivered the required certification notifying Congress of the possible sale.
“The proposed sale will improve Kuwait’s ability to meet current and future regional threats,” the agency said in a statement . “Kuwait will have no difficulty absorbing this support and services into its armed forces.”
The principal contractors will be Sigmatech; Kay and Associates; Kellogg, Brown and Root ( NYSE: KBR ); L3 Technologies ( NYSE: LHX ); Boeing ( NYSE: BA ); General Electric ( NYSE: GE ); Industrial Financial Services and Lockheed Martin ( NYSE: LMT ), the agency said.
