USL - U.S. drilling rig count edges down now at lowest since April 2022

Total active drilling rigs in the U.S. fell by 1 to 695, the lowest count since April last year, according to the latest survey from Baker Hughes, as reported Friday.
The total rig count came in 5% below the 733 rigs reported at the same time last year; the count three weeks ago was the first time since April 2021 that rigs were lower than the year-earlier total.
Drilling rigs targeting crude oil added 1 to 556, while gas rigs declined by 2 to 135 and 4 rigs remained classified as miscellaneous.
