UNFI - United Natural Foods introduces new leadership structure
United Natural Foods ( NYSE: UNFI ) has announced a new leadership structure to drive strategic priorities and accelerated growth.
Going forward, the grocery wholesaler's leadership team will be structured around four growth platforms of Services, Wholesale, Retail, and Corporate and Business Transformation, linked to strategic priorities.
The UNFI Services platform will be led by Chris Testa, who will oversee the firm's supplier services, professional services, e-commerce, and private and owned brands portfolio. Testa will also work alongside CEO Sandy Douglas and the senior leadership team to introduce enterprise-wide growth initiatives accelerating UNFI's three-year Fuel the Future strategy.
Steve Dietz will lead UNFI Wholesale's customer growth work and report directly to Douglas, effective Aug. 01, 2022. Supply chain, transportation and safety will be led by Mark Bushway, while IT will be led by Jack Clare - both reporting directly to Sandy Douglas upon the retirement of Eric Dorne on Oct. 29, 2022.
CUB CEO Mike Stigers will continue to lead UNFI’s owned retail division made up of its CUB and Shoppers banners, reporting to Douglas.
The leaders of UNFI’s corporate and transformation platform will focus on value creation for shareholders, building capabilities for the future and long-term sustainable growth of customers and suppliers. It will include: John Howard, leading finance, accounting, tax, shared services, risk and IR; Mahrukh Hussain, leading legal, real estate, and cyber security; Louis Martin, leading strategy, transformation, data, and digital experience; and Brendan Walsh, leading internal audit, among others.
