- Viasat ( NASDAQ: VSAT ) announced its planned purchase of Inmarsat received unconditional clearance from the UK's antitrust regulator.
- The proposed deal has now received clearance from the UK government under the National Security and Investment Act and the Competition and Markets Authority, as well as the Australian government's Foreign Investment Review Board and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, according to a statement.
- Approval from the UK's antitrust authority comes after the UK regulator granted provisional approval for the acquisition of Inmarsat in early March.
