XRX - Xerox CEO/vice chairman has died amid ongoing illness
- Xerox ( NASDAQ: XRX ) has announced the unexpected death of its CEO and Vice Chairman John Visentin.
- Visentin passed away Tuesday due to complications from an ongoing illness, the company says.
- It's named Steve Bandrowczak, currently the company's president and chief operations officer, as interim CEO.
- Bandrowczak is currently responsible for the global operations strategy for Xerox, the company’s business support functions (including business strategy, product and service delivery and information technology) and the company’s newly formed Software and Innovation businesses.
- “Steve has the active and full support of the Board of Directors and the entire management team in carrying out his duties," says Chairman James Nelson.
