Alphabet Inc.’s Google is rolling out ChromeOS M124, a significant upgrade for Chromebooks, introducing new features and performance improvements.
What Happened: The ChromeOS Settings app has been redesigned to resemble an Android tablet app, with each section now opening in its container, a departure from the previous continuous feed of preferences, 9to5Google reported on Friday.
Google has added a new option called “Wallpaper and style” and made a few changes to “System preferences.”
The new ChromeOS M124 update has also introduced a faster Split Screen Setup and a Quality of Service (QoS) feature, which promises better traffic prioritization for video conferencing and gaming applications on congested Wi-Fi networks.
